06. Port-in protection

Last updated on Jun 14, 2017

We are serious about protecting customers from potential fraud that can occur from the port-in of mobile numbers.

If you request to port-in your mobile number to us, we will do a number of things to confirm your identity and your authority to port-in that number to us. As part of our process, we will send a unique SMS to the mobile number that you want to port-in to us and you will then need to confirm the details of that unique SMS to us.

If you want to port-in more than one mobile number to us, we will ask for additional right of use and authority information from you in respect of those mobile numbers (which will require you to complete a form we use for that purpose), and we may either send a unique SMS to your primary mobile number, or a unique SMS to each of the mobile numbers you want to port-in to us and you will need to confirm the details of those SMSs to us.

If you suspect that your mobile has been fraudulently ported you should immediately report this to :

Sincerely,
The TC team
